I have been thinking about writing on my blog every Saturday mainly about soccer, so i will try to write every Saturday.First about Chealsea's recent revival. One reason is the expertly bought Frizzy( David Luiz). He is turning out to be one of the best buys of the Transfer Window. A goal against Manchester United and then against Manchester City as well as excellent performances against them and Blackpool. I believe people will be wearing more wigs like his hair around the games. There is also the fact that Ramires is finally showing us that he is a great player just like we thought. He is almost like Veira used to be. You realise why they call him the Blue Kenyan. Now it is fitting because he plays for Chelsea to be called the "Blue" kenyan, but i don't know exactly why he was called that before. Perhaps the altitude which attributes to Kenyan runners being so good and brings Ramires his nickname. Also, for all of you who are worried that torres won't turn out good, i believe he will, just keep believing that he will. Now Manchester United are having a defensive crisis as well as Chelsea's revival throws the title race into complete chaos. Man U. are losing a bunch of defenders to injury and losing Johnny Evans to a red card for a foul on Stuart Holden doesn't help. Also, please stop attacking Stuart Holden Premier League people! Now he is out for 6 months. He needed 26 stiches! Then Manchester players went around saying that it was a fifty-fifty challenge and that it wasn't a foul. Really? But it's not helping that Arsenal are playing horrible and even had to call up 41( i believe) years old Jens Lehmann. No more relying on Arsenal to take down Man U. As if we ever could. We can hope however. My quote of the day is from a Chelsea fan who was frustrated that Chelsea hadn't scored yet at Man City and he yelled " Stop playing like the Arsenal!" It's true. Sorry Arsenal.

For the last news, yes i do believe that Man City will hold on to fourth place. I'll write again. Bye.

America is cold

Oli otya. We're in America for the time being. We left Uganda in December and hope to go back there in July-August. It's a bit sad not being able to walk outside my gate and be able to see a friend. I miss my friends and miss playing soccer with all my friends. If anyone there see's this i will try to e-mail you soon. I just haven't had time, settling in, and then starting homeschool. I love Uganda and wish i could stay there, but i get to enjoy seeing all my relatives and friends. And the occasional NBA game, NFL playoff game, and Five Guys or What a Burger is great. if only i could combine Uganda and America, move it closer, or just be able to visit for a shorter time. I'll make the most of my time here, but even having lunch at Five Guys today can't substitute for a daily soccer match with my friends back home. Well, at least will get to go somewhere warmer soon, as Georgia got colder and snowier than it usually does. Of course any snow does seem weird to me, but being in a warm state would be nice. I'll just have to keep myself warm by getting under a blanket and watching Tv or reading a book. Or perhaps running around or juggling a ball. I'll talk again some other time. Bye

Chelsea beat West Bromwich Albion 6:0 on the opening day of the Premier League. Malouda scored in the 5th minute shot after Carson (the WBA keeper) had let go of a weak shot. Right before halftime Drogba kicked a free kick and Carson was let down by his wall a s they moved away from the ball and it bounced over his hand and in. Chelsea still had work to do to get past shock league leaders Blackpool who won 4:0 at Wigan and Aston Villa (2nd place) who beat West Ham 3:0. Drogba scored again after Terry's header was cleared of the line. Benayoun came on for Lampard, but not before he scored of a Ashley Cole pass. We were past Aston Villa and tied with Blackpool for 1st. Then Drogba, who had said that his best was yet to come after his surgery proved it right by getting his third and final goal for his hat-trick. Kalou came on immediately after.
We were then 1st in the league but we wanted to put a bit more distance between us and other teams. Anelka passed to Malouda and he scored his 2nd in the 89th minute to round of our biggest top flight opening day win. I wish i knew whats in store for the season, but with the wacky premier league start and Ramires signed for Chelsea who knows what could happen. I'll be back another day with more.

Chelsea beat Aston Villa 3:0 and are heading to the FA Cup Final at Wembley against relegated Portsmouth or Champions League hopefuls Tottenham. The game was no where near as exciting as the last time they played but it was enjoyable. Drogba struck home in the 66th minute and Malouda sealed a trip to the final with a goal in the 88th minute. Lampard, who was the killer of Aston Villa last time with 4 goals and an assist strikes beautifully in the 94th minute. Are we going to win back to back FA Cups? Only time will tell. If i find any pictures i will post them. Beware Tottenham(or Portsmouth). CHELSEA!!!

Chelsea beat Man U. after Joe Cole scored what I think was his second goal in 2 years and Drogba finished it off before Macheda grabbed a goal for Manchester as we won 2:1. Will we win? Our remaining games are against Bolton, Tottenham, Stoke City, and Liverpool. We also play Aston Villa in the FA Cup Semis and a possible FA Cup final vs. Tottenham/Portsmouth. Man City is killing Burnley 4:0 in the 26th minute and it looks like they may be the new Champions League entrees after Tottenham lost 3:1 to Sunderland. All for now. Bye.

Anybody who doubted Chelsea and their coach after a questionable Champions League exit is now standing with their eyes out of their sockets, their jaw down low, and their eyes glued to the TV. 5:0to Portsmouth and 7:1 to Aston Villa is no ordinary feat. That makes it 12 goals scored and 1 goal conceded in 2 games. Chelsea seems to make their intentions clear with this. They gambled by leaving Drogba on the bench and won. Lampard netted his 21st of the season and his 5th in 2 games while Malouda netted his 13th of the season and his 4th in 2 games. Lets just leave it at incredible. Call them Champions? We will find out so prepare as next Saturday at Old Trafford as Chelsea take on Manchester United. Bye for now.

Chelsea Wins Again!

Chelsea beat West Ham tonight 4:1 as they go top of the Premier League while Man U plays against Fulham tomorrow and then Chelsea will have a game in hand. Alex scored in the 15th minute but Parker equalized not long after. After halftime Drogba pulled us ahead. Then Malouda, who had a fantastic night, assisting twice and then he scored. Finally Lampard assisted to Drogba for him to score in the 90th minute. Hopefully Man U will lose. But Chelsea and Drogba, who scored his 21st Premier League goal and his 25th goal of the season are in prefect form to beat Inter Milan on Tuesday. Bye for now.

WE ARE BACK!

Chelsea played Stoke City in the FA Cup after two successive defeats that left Man U on our tails. But tonight our game was back. John Terry, after his life being run in the news and making several mistakes that caused us to lose came back with a solid back line performance that kept a clean sheet and then set up Frank Lampard ( up top Frank celebrating after scoring in last years final) to score. Frank who returned the favor later by setting up John Terry for the second goal. We are "The Blues" again! Welcome back J. Terry! We are still alive! We also played the whole game without any substitutions. Amazing!In the Premiership tonight Everton hosted Hull City and beat them 5:1. An early goal from M.Arteta made it seem like Everton were taking all three points. but T. Cairney scored as Hull fought back. But then M.Arteta scored again. After halftime R.Garcia scored an own goal and Everton seemed sure to win. Then the game got out of hand when L.Donovan(who is about to return to LA Galaxy) scored. After that he set up J.Rodwell for it to be 5:1. What a goodbye party! Anyway Heritage won the soccer tournament. We beat the French school 2:0. ISU and Ambrosoli tied 2:2. Then we played Ambrosoli and beat them 3:1. I made a heading assist. The French School scored a late equalizer to insure that we had won the tournament. They tied 1:1. Finally we played ISU and the match was tough. Sometime before halftime the ball was played down the left and crossed in and went over our players knee. I, who was playing on the right for that that game jumped on the opportunity and kicked it in. We won 1:0. Ambrosoli won 1:0. We came in first with 9 points, Ambrosoli in second with 4 points,ISU in third with 2 points, and the French School in fourth with 1 point respectively. Then on Tuesday we beat Aga Khan 6:0, with two goals each from 3 of our players. One goal was my shot hit of the defender for my friend to score. On Tuesday we play Rainbow which is the only team we haven't really played this season and then we play KISU in our last International game this season. I am hoping to play an attacking position in one of those games and score. Well, I'll update after the game and try to put a picture of our team on here. BYE

What came to my mind today is , what is the world record for spinning a basketball in the back of a van going down a hill at top speed? Right now I can only do it for about 6 seconds. How long can you do it? Try it! Right now I am looking at the live score center for the Barclay's Premier League. Chelsea is beating Arsenal 2:0. I hope they win. It is halftime. This week is Spirit Week at our school. It is a week where everyone dresses up according to that days topic and the whole school divides into separate teams. At the end of the week the teams play games and get points for how well they do. Their effort on that day plus the rest of the week decides who wins. The winner does get a prize, but it is mainly for fun and to learn about God. I hope the week will go well. At least I'm ready. Bye.

I am now going to start using my blog again. I haven't updated this blog since November 8th 2007. You can do the math. That's over two years. I wonder if that's some sort of record. I'll have to look that up some day.Let me tell you about my self now. I still live in Kampala, Uganda. I still love to play soccer and love playing for my school. I live even closer to my school now and I still walk there everyday. I don't get to play soccer every recess because now I am 12 and in junior high. We are past halfway in our school year. I still love to read and my favorite books are The Bible, the Adult Left Behind series( even though I am still reading them and the Kids Left Behind), and this 4 book series called Young Bond(I have read 3 of them). Lately I have been watching The Africa Cup of Nations on TV. It was an exciting tournament and brought many surprises. I personally( along with many other people I know) wanted Ivory Coast(Cote D'Ivoire) to win. But alas, they were knocked out by Algeria. For the finals it was Egypt vs. Ghana. Unfortunately Egypt won it for a record 7 times and 3 times in a row. The Premier League is getting to it's climax and Chelsea is still winning. Go Chelsea! I think that they will win the Premier League and the FA Cup. I don't know if they will when the UEFA Champions League though and sadly they were knocked out of the Carling Cup again. I am also a fan of the newly rejuvenated Manchester City and want them to finish in the top 4 this season so that they can go to the UEFA Champions League. Lately our school Heritage has had a good soccer season. We have beaten teams that normally beat us. On February 27th we play ISU in what will probably be our toughest game of the season. It is a mini tournament of 4 teams and if we beat ISU then we will go to the finals and play the winner of Ambrosoli vs. A French School. Wish us luck!

Soccer Games!

We have entered a new season of soccer!! Jordan plays defense and mid-field on the 4th-6th grade team and Ethan plays goalie on the 1st-3rd grade team. So far our teams have played very good all though we have not one every game.

We have played ISU, Aga Khan, and Kabira (three international schools here in Kampala). ISU has been the hardest team to beat for the older boys and Kabira is the hardest team for the younger teams. The easiest team for Ethan's team was ISU. The easiest team for Jordan's team was Kabira because they had referee's that were fair and we played really good. Below is a picture of Ethan blocking a penalty shot!

The Final Qualifier

I went to the Uganda vs. Niger game. David Obua scored a hatrick (3 goals). He is my favorite player on the Uganda team. He is very good. The final score was 3 to 1. Uganda might go to the Africa Cup of Nations in 2008. Uganda needed to score 3 more goals in order to automatically qualify for the Africa Cup. Since they didn't score enough goals, we must wait for the results of these games in October: 1) Mali vs. Togo (Togo needs to win or tie); and 2) Benin vs. Sierra Leone (Benin has to tie or lose if Togo wins). We had a lot of fun!

MK Day at the Pool

Rain Festival

At this years rain festival I put lots of people in jail. All the candy I got was eclairs[african choclate candy]I had a fun time. The people who I put in jail where 2 classmates, a classmates brother, a classmates sister, the p.e. teacher, and the assistant p.e. teacher. I soaked two people, and got to be the jailkeeper for a while. Bye for now. I will try to write again later.

Today I played a game of hockey against my guard and I won every game.And on friday we have the rain festival at my school. I will try to put some pictures on this blog.Last year in america wisconson[I root for wisconson]played very well in hockey,they got very far.I will try to put a picture of my dog named pepper.At the rain festival I will be a leopard [cause the theme is on safari].And in my class we voted on a game. We had these selections soccergame by me,the bowling game by my friend nick,another game,and my acorn game.The first time we had an ilegal vote everybody voted for two games!Then we had a legal vote and nobody voted for soccer,nobody voted for bowling,nobody voted for the other one,and everyone voted my acorn game!Yippie!At the rain festival you get to play games and have fun.You can enter contests and eat food.Bye for now! I live in Uganda, Africa in the city of Kampala.

I like to play soccer, although they call it football here, and I like baseball too.

I live near my school, and I walk to school each day. My school's name is Heritage International School, and it is a neat place. We get to play soccer at recess which is lots of fun.

This is my fifth week at the school this year. I'm in the fourth grade this year. I'm 9 years old. My birthday is in July.

I really like to read books. My favorite books are the "Famous Five," the "Boxcar Children," and "Magic Treehouse."
